The anaphoric apposition "personal pronoun+zheige NP" is still ambiguous even exclude the reading of possessive relationship. Accenting personal pronoun means its individuality is foregrounded and accenting NP means the homoplasy of personal pronoun’ referent does. On paper, contrast, interpretation, echo, supplement, connotative property and extensive range can provide assistance for disambiguation. The Corresponding relationship between heaviness and emphasis dramatically illustrates the quantity iconicity. Cognitive angles, such as the difference of prominence, figure-ground reversal and the shifting of stance, the transformation of reference, provide further cognitive explanation for the Ambiguity of the anaphoric apposition "personal pronoun + zheige NP".

Through examining the correct and incorrect use of textual anaphora of demonstrative pronouns taken from a 300,000-word corpus of compositions written by Korean students, this paper investigates the distribution of textual anaphora of demonstrative pronouns by Korean students and the types causes of error. It identifies the acquisition difficulties of different forms and types of anaphora and offers teaching suggestions based on the findings.
