Many of opportunities and challenges in the improvement of residents’ consumption will be confronted with in the "13th Five-Year",a period critical to the building of China into a fairly prosperous society. With a consideration of the regular pattern of consumption,China is expected to become a consumptiondriven economy with a stable growth in consumption,an optimized consumption structure and a narrowed consumption gap,in the period of 13 th Five-year. China is moving on from a leading nation in rational consumption,with advanced consumption concept,promoted consumption pattern and high consumption level,up to a powerful nation in consumption,with reasonable spatial distribution,broadened field and enhanced confidence in consumption. China must adhere to such development concepts as innovating, coordinating, green, opening and sharing, and actively develop its national consumption
