In the past decade,Reports on Chinese Language Situation have recorded comprehensive aspects of Chinese language life and provided valuable memory in the history through observation and understanding of language indaily life. A number of new concepts have been proposed and developed, which serve as a foundation for the construction of a theoretical system for the research of Chinese language life. A series of new research ideas,perspectives and angles have emerged and enriched the theories and methods of social-linguistics and linguistics in China. A group of targeted surveys and consultative governance reports have been published,which propose practical advices on the issues of language life. A research team with common ideals and beliefswas built up,which gives momentum to the formation of "the School of Chinese Language Life"in terms of academic philosophy.
