释“您”/ 刘云; 周晨萌
// Language teaching and linguistic studies. 2013, Vol. 5 (163).
// 语言教学与研究 2013, 第5卷 (163) 北京 : 北京语言大学语言研究所, 2013.tr. 44-56 Based on a large volume of data both at home and abroad, this paper lauches a systemic study of the etymology and trajecectory of the honorific "nin" (您), ranging form Yuan, Ming, Qing Dynasties to the Republic of China, and the Contemporary China. The comparison shows that the development follows the four-stage way like "ni laoren jia > nilao > nina / nineng > nina > nin". The paper interpreted the evolution of the honorific "nin", grammatically and phonetically, and dated its emergence back to the 19th century, and meanwhile offered a reasonable explaination of the origins of "nine", "nini", "nineng" and "ning". In this way, this paper futher enriched the typological study of the second person honorifics, and shed new light on the future study of Beijing dialiect, as well as that of the Modern Chinese.
