At Hanoi University, the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in teaching and learning has become increasingly encouraged by educational leaders in all the majors/subjects taught. Within the scope of this paper, I would like to address the following main issues: the benefits of using ICT in teaching reading and how to use ICT in teaching reading effectively with the available ICT facilities at Hanoi University. Challenges in ICT application and solutions to those challenges in teaching reading are also presented in the final section of this paper.
