"Belief Seeks Understanding" and "Understanding Explains Belief"——Reflection on the Relation of Religion, Theology and Philosophy / Zhang Qingxiong.
// Journal of Huazhong Normal University(Humanities and Social Sciences) 2014, Vol 53, N.5 p53-p59 There are two opposing views concerning the relation of religion, theology and philosophy : one is, religious belief is above speculative reason, and therefore the rational philosophy should serve for rational theology; one is, reason is the final criteria for judging everything, and therefore the rational philosophy have a task of enlightening the religious beliefs. In my opinion the both views are biased. In our life-practice, belief is the starting point and the motivation power of practice, because people always believe something and then bring what they believe into action, and only when they encounter problems, the original faith will be questioned, and will be modified or form a new belief according to the new experience. Taking this life-practice viewpoint to look at the relationship between belief and understanding, we can’t simply say that “belief leads to understanding” or “understanding enlightens belief”. The correct expression should be that we are always in the process of “belief seeks understanding” and “understanding explains belief”

A Different Living Circumstances of Longmen School in the Early Qing Dynasty——An Analysis of Pan Jingguan and His Work DaoDeJingMiaoMenYue / : Liu Gusheng, Wang Chuang
// Journal of Huazhong Normal University(Humanities and Social Sciences) 2014, Vol 53, N.6 p140-p148 Zhu Yuanyu, who is a taoist priest of Longmen shcool, has been in Changzhou for a long time before Wang Changyue came to Jiangnan. One of Zhu Yuanyu’s apprentice named Pan Jingguan with his life shows us a different living circumstances of Longmen school in the early Qing Dynasty. Pan is the fifth generation successor of Longmen school without doubt, his work DaoDeJ ingMiaoMenYue revealing the features of Quanzhen school, but he also considers himself to be a heirs of Jingming shcool and Taiyi school. As a member of Longmen school, Pan Jingguan does not try to develop Longmen school, instead, he interacts with the other schools of Taoism and folk beliefs which makes his identity complicated. The observation of Pan could bring us a new understanding about the Longmen school in the early Qing Dynasty

A Philosophical Interpretation of Ontology about the Inner Chapters of Chuang-tzu / Cheng Zhongying
// Journal of Huazhong Normal University(Humanities and Social Sciences) 2014, Vol 53, N.6 p62-p68 This article is a philosophical interpretation of ontology about the inner chapters of Chuang-tzu, which shows us a dialectical process about the ontologies existence. The seven articles in Chuang-tzu can be divided into two categories. On or hand, there are strong dialectical thoughts of ontology in The Happy Excursion , On the Equality of Things and The Philosopher-King. On the other hand, The Fundamental for the Cultivation of Life, Human World, The Evidence of Virtue Complete and The Great Teacher show us dialectical thoughts of human potential. After the combination ( these two aspects, the world ontology and the human ontology will be integrated, an then Chuang-tzu s special dialectic philosophy of practice ontology will come true
