北京高校大学生语言文明状况调查研究 = A Survey on the Situation of Language Civility among College Students in Beijing / 张焕香; 李卫红. // Applied linguistics. 2013, No.3.

Based on the four aspects of language civility(foul language use,Putonghua popularization,foreign language and native language learning,catch phrases use),a questionnaire is designed and carried out among 325 subjects chosen by means of stratified sampling to explore the situation of language civility among college students in Beijing.The findings show that college students in Beijing often use Putonghua in their learning and daily life,but they are weak in their awareness of language civility and most of them have the experience of speaking foul language.Meanwhile,they put more emphasis on English learning than Chinese learning.As a result,the suggestions are put forward that colleges should improve students’awareness of language civility and their Chinese culture consciousness to construct a harmonious language environment.

Motivation is considered to be one of the crucial factors of success in learning a second language.By formulating a hypothesis,implementing a survey and accomplishing a principal component analysis,the study of this paper takes the Chinese learning motivation of international medical students as the breakthrough point and concludes that instrumental motivation is the principal type of international students with medical science major;the characteristics of instrumental motivation makes it more scientific and effective to make innovation in Chinese teaching management and teaching mode;the contrast analysis before and after the experiment indicates that motivation intensity and comprehensive Chinese ability has both improved,and which neatly illustrates the controllability of the Intensity of the Instrumental Motivation for Chinese Learning,as well as scientific validity of newly innovated Chinese teaching management and teaching mode.The aim of this study is to solve the difficult problems in teaching Chinese to international medical students,therefore,to enrich the research in Chinese teaching to international medical students.

This research aims to investigate the changes of Chinese language learners’ motivational intensity(learning effort) and its’ relationship with the changes of motivation types,and the effect of demographic features on the changes of motivational intensity.The subjects are 251 Chinese language learners.The results show that;1) the motivational intensity of learners changes,mainly enhances,after one semester’s study in China;2) the changes of the learners’ motivational intensity are related to the changes of the motivational levels,opportunities and intrinsic interests;3) the learners’ gender and age also have impacts on the changes of motivational intensity.
