The narrative language in Cat bui chan ai and Chieu chieu consists of single words, compound words and reduplicative words which are both used efficiently by To Hoai. The cluster of single words, particularly the verbs make narrative language firm, sharp and profound. That the dense appearance of cluster of reduplicative words brings to narractive sentences the lively and emotional impressions. The cluster of compound words especial new-born compound words are highlights in Tho Hoai’s narrative sentences.
