This study foccuses on cognitive metaphors denothing the concept of “Self” in Trinh Cong Son’s songs in their English translations. Having applied many research methods, the authors analyzed cosnitive metaphors of “Sell” in TCS” songs, and found the Loss and Gain in meaning during the translation process. Findings of the study can be of meaningful benefist for those who in areas such as English language teaching and learning ,Transtion studies and Cross – cultural communication.
