The utilization of symboilism - aesthetics in recognition of emotion in art are considered as being multi- faceted. L. Toistoy used an extren ely wide rance of variety of communication mean in his daily composition. By reviewing the literature of utterance form “to convey arts by wording and to describe the reality of life” in written works by L.Tolstoy and with in the scope of this paper, he focus on the art of utilizing derivational meanings of adjectives to enhance the imaginary and emotional values in “War and Peace”, a masterpiece by L. Tolstoy.

In Russian literature, Leo Tolstoy was considered a master of unmatched and marvelous I novels. He made worthy contributions to bringing Russian literature in the 19th century to the same level of the contemporary European literature. War and Peace was a great novel and an epic. The personalities of each character were profoundly depicted. In many respects, the writer s characters were lively because of his special depiction of psychology in man and characters. In order to learn about the inmost feelings monologues written by Leo Tolstoy, we will analyze the issue on his use of rhetorical measures such as comparisons, contrasts and opposite meanings in the monologues of War and Peace.
