In pragmatic research, responses of recipients of speech acts has been of great concern. Based on the research on the questioning acts, researchers agree that it is necessary to consider questioning acts in relation to answers. This paper analyzes types of responses to direct questioning acts based on Korean and Vietnamese dialogue corpus. The research results are applicable to Korean teaching and studying practices.
