All Vietnamese are conducting a campaign following Uncle Ho’s humble lifestyle. This such a meaning action that everyone can do. Each of us, depending on our social condition and living, can participate in this trend on our own ways. As a teacher in Chinese department, I learned more about his precious lifestyle through his Han poems ( poems written in Chinese characters). Unlike Vietnamese poems, Ho Chi Minh’s Han poems were written for himself and his fellows, who also acknowledged this kind of poetry. Writting for himself, maybe he didn’s demand any flowery or luxirious words. However, when writting fo his fellows, Ho Chi Ming would put his Eastern cultural knowledge into practice. In this essay, I would like to present an analysis of the two poems written by Uncle Ho: “ Vo De” and “ Doi Nguyet”, which were created in ATK ( a shelter for soldiers) during the anti-French resistance.
