Một số phương thức chuyển sang dịch hàm ý quy ước từ Tiếng Anh sang Tiếng Việt ( Nghiên cứu dựa trên phát ngôn có hàm ý trong một số truyện ngắn của Earnest Hemmeingway) = Strategies for translating utterences with conventional implicature from English into Vietnamese ( Based on utterances extracted from short stories by Earnest Hemmeingway) / Trịnh Thị Thơm. // Ngôn ngữ và đời sống. 2014, Số 9 (227).

Conventional implicature is implicit meaning conveyed by means of linguistic forms such as conjunctions, connotational particles, special structures, etc. However, this system is different from language to language. Such diffirence between English and Vietnamese requires the translator’s creativeness when applying translation theories to the translating in order to have the right choice of linguistic forms to obtain the necessary equivalence between the source and the target language. This reseaches indicates that the translators use three main strategies when translating utterances with conventional implicature from English to Vietnamese, which are: transltations with conserved Conventional Implicature, translation with adapted Conventional Implicature and translation with Conventional Implicature obmitted.

There have been efforts to apply a dynamical theory of language to uncover the principle which have not only triggered the evolution of human language capacity but which also governed language acquisition and spontaneous language use. Based on the ad-hoc pictorial models proposed by L. Talmy (1988), W. Wildgen (2009) has developed schema for sets of sentences to dynamically decompose L. Talmy’s description. The semantics of complex sentences blend different types of dynamics: (a) spatio-temporal dynamics with attractors and catastrophes and (b) energy functions and the coupling of subsystems. This paper is an initial exploration into the possibilities of the application of the dynamics system approach in the analysis of the Vietnamese language and a first attempt to build up dynamic models for sets of Vietnamese sentences.
