We also discuss the distribution of the Buddhist Fanqie(反切)and its phonologic value . The use of the Buddhist Fanqie is later than the Confucian Fanqie(反切), and it has relatively small scale . The Buddhist Fanqie(反切) is to note the pronunciation of Sanskrit, not to note the pronunciation of Chinese character.
