In recent years, little attention has been paid to literature subject in undergraduate foreign language training programs: the number of hours for literature teaching has been reduced, textbooks outdated. Consequently the subject has been chosen by a few lecturers, and students were demotivated. However, literary texts remain the most complete documents providing learners with language skills as well as historical, cultural, social and psychological skills of each period. Through literary texts, students could explore the world views of authors, characters and reflect with their own perceptions of life. Good acquisition of a literary work allows students to express their personal choices of emotional words as well as their own points of view on the issue discussed. Therefore, literary texts are the tool to help students perfect their language, expand their vision to the outside world and develop their critical thinking.
