Giáo dục ngôn ngữ trong trường phổ thống vùng dân tộc Khmer (An Giang) / Hoàng Quốc.
// Ngôn ngữ và đời sống 2015, Số 5 (312) 201551-62 tr. The paper investigates the teaching and learning of languages (Vietnamese, Khmer) to Khmer students in An Giang province nowadays. The research results indicate the Khmer students still have diddiculty in learning Vietnamese. The teaching of the mother tongue as a elective subject that has nots brought satisfactory results. Although the percentage of Khmer primary school students receiving Vietnamsese training is quite high, almost the same as Vietnamese students, that percentage decreades gradually in the secondary school and falls sharply in the high school due to the different reasons, the “language barrier” is believed to be the main reason which causes Khmer students to be left behind and stop their learning. Based on the analysis of the rasons mentioned above, the paper suggests some practical and more effective solutions to the languages teaching and learning for the Khmer student.
