"汉语国际教育"是一个专业,关于这个专业的学科属性学术界存在着不同的认识,这种不同的认识影响了这个专业的人才培养目标、培养规格。本文认为"汉语国际教育"的学科定位是交叉性的,很难简单地归之于某个单一学科。从这个意义上说,可以说它是一门"独立的学科"。它的学科基础是语言学(理论语言学,应用语言学)、汉语言文字学、教育学、认知科学和现代教育技术。

This paper briefly reviews the development of Chinese immersion programs in American primary schools,and discusses the advantages,properties and characteristics of this kind of instruction.It is argued that this kind of instruction has the nature both of native and foreign language instruction,whereby the design of Chinese immersion instruc-tion should pay special attention to the particularities of the Chinese language and the particularities of teaching Chinese as a second language;the teaching methodology should be based on implicit instruction,while paying due attention to designing some explicit activities.
