Researches in modern Chinese grammar must take into account of how the research findings can be applied in the teaching of Chinese.Under this premise,the paper explores the following topics:(1) survey of modern Chinese grammar researches from the perspective of language teaching needs,(2) good traditional practices in Chinese language research,(3) researches in written and spoken Chinese grammar,and(4) unconventional structures in the Chinese language.The author believes that researches on the "Chinese national language(guo yu)" before 1949,whether it is lexicon or grammar,written language or spoken one,are inadequate.The same can be said of modern researches in the "Chinese language(hua yu)" in various countries.Much still has to be done for Chinese language researchers to effectively promote the Chinese language globally.

我国留学生预科教育起步较晚,采用科学有效的教学模式以提高预科汉语速成教学的整体质量成为重要课题。本文指出预科汉语教学是一种速成教学、能力教学,应以"按阶段分层推进,按模块最大优化"为原则,各模块之间按需优化组合,相互渗透,使预科教学尽可能适应不同学习能力和不同专业目标的需求,以达到圆满完成预科教学任务的目标。
