The previous studies of the employment of graduates often overemphasized the effects of individual human capital,and ignored or underestimated the effects of reforms of educational mode.Since 2006,the educational mode of higher vocational education has changed very much.This article applied hierarchical linear model to evaluate the different variables from three levels:college level,departmental level and individual graduate level.The results showed that the reform of educational mode had different paths and effects on employability,employment probability and the starting salaries of graduates.The reform had no significant effects on the employment probability,but it could bring significant effects on the employability and the starting salaries of graduates.So,this article suggests that higher vocational education should take the reform of educational mode as an important path to improve the quality of employment of higher vocational graduates.
