本雅明与德里达翻译观之辨 = Rethinking the Distinction Between Walter Benjamin’s and Derrida’s Translation Theory. / GAO Qian.
// 中国翻译 ,Chinese Translators Journal 2014, Vol. 35, No.3. 北京市 : [中國外文出版發行事業局], 2014tr. 25-29. Even though Walter Benjamin has been taken for a deconstructionist by translation scholars in general, his theory of translation differs substantially from Derrida’s.The two fail to concur on the nature of language, the criteria for translation, and the relation between the source text and the target text. While Benjamin emphasizes the originality of the source text and calls for restoring the "pure language" or the transcendental origin of all human languages as an overriding mission for translation,Derrida champions the concept of difference as the means to deconstruct Western logocentrism, thus blurring the distinction between translatability and untranslatability, and between the source text and the target text as well.
