越南语吸收十九世纪汉语新词特点分析——以其对马西尼《十九世纪文献中的新词词表》词语的吸收为例. / 郑青青.

// 外语教学与研究 2013, 第45卷.第1期. 2013.tr. 49-57. The Vietnamese language absorbed a lot of Chinese words through Sino Vietnamese sounds during the nineteenth century. The study showed that the highest proportion of absorption was Japanese loan words, the second highest was free translated words, native Chinese words, new native Chinese words, loan translation words, and the least was blend words and transliterated words. Vietnamese mainly absorbed Chinese words which were both phonographic and ideographic, and words which were more mature in meaning expression and suitable for their social development. During the process, Vietnamese, while borrowing from Chinese affix, also developed its own affixation devices. There was a competition between Sino Vietnamese words and native Vietnamese words in use.
