This article has the goal of surveying the gratitude mode in Russian and Vietnamese, as; a first step to describe the structure of this behavior in the languages in order to collate them to point out the similarities and differences between two languages, contribute to improve the efficiency of teaching and studying Russian and Vietnamese as foreign language, assist learner to avoid the mistake made by language - culture crossing in communication.

Scolding is one of saying actions of humans. Like other linguistic actions: saying, telling, promising, complimenting, greeting, swearing, asking,…scolding- scolding when action function also endures the domination from general factors of a linguistic action. However, the problem identifying and classifying this linguistic action is not really cared in research properly. Although there is likely a lot of research on scolding from different scales, the most is still from the view of culture. This paper will contribute to make clearer about; these problems from the points of pragmatics, more specifically from the action theory- linguistic action.
