As a result of our research, there are four types of metaphors in “Truyen Kieu” (Kieu Tale) of Nguyen Du, fiery nature points to anger; anger means being out of control, anger is a strong feeling of displeasure or the change shape of body parts and anger symbolized by fire. In each of these metaphors, the irradiation of source areas to target areas is appropriate to the perception of human beings and reflects national identity as well.
