The world of education in general and that of languages in particular is constantly evolving to keep up with the fast pace of the era of globalization. Education has to renew itself to adapt to the dramatic changes of the digital society. Hence, education has to grasp the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as one of the priorities to move forward. Indeed, to meet the requirement and challenges of the globalised digital society, it is a must to apply ICT in language teaching classes. Therefore, the reasons for using ICT in English teaching and learning are mentioned in this paper. Accordingly, the author shares some personal experiences of using ICT with a hope that they can be of some value for those concerned.
