In Thai ethnic language, nouns which indicate family relationship - kinship are used not only by people in the family but also by people who do not have relative relationship to communicate in social life. This form of address has a strong and effective expressive meaning. When we carry out a research into the style of addressing in Thai families, we will study the form of address in every relation, such as between husband and wife, parents and children, brothers and sisters, daughter-in-law, son-in-law and other members in the family. Through the study, we hope to introduce a general but vivid and specific description of the form of address in Thai families.

Thais people s proverb in general and Thai people s proverb in Son La province have attained significant achievements in awareness problem (about nature, world, universe and human); education and aesthetics. Studying Thai people s proverb will help us to get to know deeply and widely about life, people and traditional behaviour culture as well as Thai people among Vietnam s ethnic minorities. The educational meaning of Thai people s proverb is expressed by verbal behaviour, which is shown by language in routine day to meet the needs of society. That is beauty in communication of North West mountainous ethnic minorities.
