Khảo sát tính chủ động của sinh viên trong hoạt động tự luyện dịch nói = A survey on student's activeness in self-study of interpreting / Lương Hải Yến.

According to a survey findings, after one term of interpretation studying, most Japanese studentsare fond of this subject, and over half of them intend to become interpreters after their graduation though most see this subject a very difficult one. Meanwhile class time for this subject isrestricted and teachersstill use the traditional teaching method of letting the students listen to all the contents once before starting to interpret, teachersthen explain the new words and ask students to listen and interpret again, leaving little time left for the practice of necessary basic skills of interpreting. From the author s point of view, in the interpreter training courses, it s necessary to innovatethe teaching method; teachersshouldprovidestudents with various kinds of interpreting practices and particular practicing methods so the students can practice effectively themselves.
