// Ngôn ngữ và đời sống 2013, Số 5 (211) 2013tr. 8-11 Multimedia are considered as a necessary part of teaching a language as a foreign one. Up to now, a lot of Vietnamese language teaching and learning program for foreigners including children are lack of lively images. Researching to produce a set of multimedia for Vietnamese teaching courses for children from minority groups and overseas is an urgent task. This article refers to realistic bases in developing multimedia products for Teaching Vietnamese as a second language to 5 – 10 year old children. Analyzing characteristics and functions of multimedia an children’s language learning, the article specifies the effectiveness of these tools in practicing language skills of children.
