Sử dụng smartphone trong dạy - học dịch nói = Smartphone as a learning tool for interpreting classes / Nguyễn Thị Vân Khánh.
// Tạp chí Khoa học Ngoại Ngữ Số 56/2018 (Tháng 9/2018) Hà Nội : Đại học Hà Nội, 2018tr. 98-106 Apart from promoting the application of hi-tech devices like smartphones in teaching and learning languages, the study aims at: (1) improving students’ responsiveness in interpreting; (2) raising students’ awareness towards their strengths/weaknesses when interpreting in terms of pronunciation, word choice or grammatical structures; (3) strengthening students’ collaborative and cooperative learning. To conduct this action research, the teacher instructs students to use their smartphones to record their interpretation for some exercises in Interpreting class. The students are third year English majors at Hanoi University of Industry. The recording activities are conducted in groups and following different procedures. Initial findings include students’ better confidence, better responsiveness, growing awareness of pronunciation and more contribution to group work. Recommendations are then put forward for the application of recording by smartphones in interpreting and speaking classes.
