In its development process, modern Chinese has inherited and maintained some characteristics of the text language. The deep exploration of the written language in modern Chinese in its relation with Vietnamese, pointing out similarities and differences of the two languages, will be useful for Vietnamese researchers to study the Chinese language. In this paper, we discuss the flexible use of parts of speech, and the use of adverb after main verbs in modern Chinese which are common phenomena in the written language. Then we go on to affirm the relation between the written language, spoken language and Vietnamese, trying to solve difficulties faced by Vietnamese students during their study of Chinese.
