Ẩn dụ và hoán dụ ý niệm: nghiên cứu một số biểu thức ngôn ngữ tiếng Việt và tiếng Anh / Ngô Bảo Tín, Đào Duy Tùng
// Tạp chí Khoa học Ngoại ngữ tr. 47 - 58 Ẩn dụ và hoán dụ ý niệm là những đối tượng nghiên cứu trọng tâm của Ngôn ngữ học tri nhận. Trong bài viết này, chúng tôi nghiên cứu và trình by về các biểu thức ngôn ngữ mang tính ần dụ và hoán dụ trong tiếng Việt và tiếng Anh. Với mục đích này, chúng tôi sử dụng kết hợp các phương php nghiên cứu như phương pháp miêu tả, phương pháp phân tích dữ liệu, phương pháp MIP (nhận diệnẩn dụ). Trên bình diện lí luận, bi viết góp phần vo vic nghin cứu hình thái ngôn ngữ và mổi quan hệ giữa hình thái ngôn ngữ với nghĩa của ngôn ngữ. Về ứng dụng thực tiễn, bi viết có thể là tài liệu tham khảo phục vụ cho việc dạy học và nghiên cứu Ngôn ngữ học và Văn học.

This paper presents an analysis of two phonetic variations of Sino-Vietnamese words and phrases in South Vietnam’s folk verses from both the diachronic and synchronic viewpoints. From the diachronic viewpoint, the phonetic variations of Sino-Vietnamese words and phrases in South Vietnam’s folk verses are divided into two categories: taboo-based variations and non-taboo-based variations. From the synchronic viewpoint and scope of use, the phonetic variations of Sino-Vietnamese words and phrases in South Vietnam’s folk verses are divided into two categories: phonetic variations widely used in the whole country and phonetic variations only used in the locality.

Whereby, the article draws a method for indentifying language metaphors and conceptual metaphor mapping.

Tri nhận nghiệm thân và tính quý ước của ngôn ngữ / Ngô Bảo Tín, Đào Duy Tùng
// Tạp chí Khoa học Ngoại ngữ Số 83/2025 tr.26 - 39 Embodiment is one of the core principles of Cognitive Linguistics. Current research on embodiment is complex, involving various perspectives and classifications. This article describes and analyzes six perspectives on embodied cognition proposed by Wilson (2002) and six types of embodiment identified by Ziemke (2003). It also discusses the relationship between cognitive embodiment and context, unresolved issues concerning the link between embodiment and language as highlighted by Zlatev (2007), and the role of embodiment in the hypothesis of linguistic conventionality. Additionally, a schematic diagram of embodiment is also proposed. This study primarily employs descriptive, comparative, and analytical methods, along with the Metaphor Identification Procedure (MIP). Theoretically, this study contributes to reinforcing arguments about embodiment, offering new perspectives, and establishing a classification framework for embodiment. Practically, it may serve as a valuable resource for language teaching
