Tóm tắt In Chinese and Vietnamese, there have been very complicated cognitive metaphor systems. Metaphor is an important tool for people in the process of perceiving the world and forming concepts. The article, basing on Lakoff’s and Johnson’s theory of conceptual metaphors in three aspects: the “eyes” is mapped to non- parts of human body, color and time, collates cognitive metaphor of the word “eyes” in both Chinese and Vietnamese language.
