Tóm tắt	Compound sentences are featured with their complex structures (with two or more independent clauses) and the semantic relations between clauses, including causal one. This has been mentioned in traditional and functional grammar researches. In general, they have provided a new approach for further research. Based on theoretical foundation of compound sentences, this writing aims to investigate some forms of semantic relation in Vietnamese compound sentences in terms of: the appearance of favorite means, the subjectivity and objectivity, and the complex levels.
