| At the press conference on 3rd session of 12 th CPPCC National Committee, the foreign affairs interpreter interpreted the Chinese word"renxing"from the improvisational speech of the spokesman into the English word"capricious", which draws enormous attention from the entire society. The academic circle has various views.In this paper the researcher initially explores the essential criterion of foreign affairs translation based on Chinese corpus, English corpus, translation criterion, foreign affairs translation requirement and interpreters’ professional qualification. | |
