Tóm tắt This article discusses the current situation of Chinese language teaching in Hong Kong.From analyzing the characteristics of Chinese language,curriculum setting,teaching materials and socio-cultural environment,the article discusses the learning difficulties of students of ethnic-minorities(SEMs)in Hong Kong.Combining the theory and practice of language learning and teaching,the authors propose relative strategies to improve Chinese language learning of SEMs in government,schools and society,in order to arouse discussion with both the academia and the education sector.
