| This paper discusses division functions of disyllabification before and after the predicate core verbs, and explains the motivations why the lexicalization can not occur between the enclitic and proclitic and the core verbs. By comparing the grammaticalization of Chinese clitics with the grammaticalization path of human languages, we point out the typological features of the grammaticalization of Chinese function words,and analyse the asymmetry of the transition of the clitics in human languages... | |
