Combing the Compendium of the Turkic Dialects(Diwan Lu γ at at-Türk) which Chen Zongzhen and other scholars made mistakes on wrong character problems,Chinese characters redundancy,omission,reverse which sum up to 54 cases, furthering pointed out 31 mistakes on Chinese characters translation in the first volume,12 mistakes on Chinese characters translation in the second volume,12 mistakes on Chinese characters translation in the third volume and pointed addition in Chinese characters translation in the total three volumes,other biased error totally in 13 cases,hoping that the readers could benefit from reading Compendium of the Turkic Dialects.

Uyghur people have a great and long history of horse culture.There are a series of expressions about "saddlery"in the literature of "A Dictionary of Turkic Language" and modern Uyghur language.There are number of expressions about horse saddlery in old and modern Uyghur language that showed animal husbandry culture and long culture of horse custom and social life,traditional custom,values and language cognition of mode of thinking.

This essay studies the metaphoric folk proverbs included in Diyan Lgat at-Turk from the angle of cognition. By categorizing and analyzing the images in the source and the target, this essay summarizes the characteristics of the images of two domains, based on which it will explore the features of cognitive metaphors in those proverbs. At last, it will give interpretation on those features under the guidance of conceptual integration theory. So that we can try to comprehend the traits and rules of the cognitive metaphoric thinking of the Uyghur people living in the period of Karakhanid Empire.
