This paper first points out those problems within the previous studies like comprehensive analysis,ergativization and double "bei" analysis,and then proposes an eventtopicalization method,i.e., "bei" is an event verb,which needs to select a topicalized clause as its complement;topicalization is a process in which patient,but not agent raises motivated by both sections of syntax and pragmatics.This method may generate almost all the "bei(NP) VP" constructions along a unified path.
